The British Parliamentary Committee for Iran Freedom (BPCIF) supports the Prime Minister's statement on the “UK’s firm political support for the Saudi action in Yemen, noting that it was right to do everything possible to deter Houthi aggression, to support President Hadi and his legitimate government.” The Committee also fully backs Mrs. Rajavi’s stance, in which she welcomed as inevitable the decision by Arab countries to confront the Iranian regime.

The BPCIF welcomes the Saudi-led campaign against the terrorist Houthi rebels in Yemen as a firm response to the Iranian regime's destructive meddling in that country. This campaign not only deserves international support but also, as stressed by Mrs. Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, agrees that it should be followed by the speedy departure of Iran and its terrorist IRGC and Qud-Force from Syria, Iraq and Lebanon and other  countries outside Iran.

The recent press reports of Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) supporting and training the Houthi Shi'ite militias is a major concern and clear evidence of the Iranian regime's destructive role in the region.

Therefore, the BPCIF welcomes the international community recognition that the regime in Tehran is a major cause of instability in the Middle East. It survives on domestic repression, export of terrorism and fundamentalism, and thereby pursues a policy of destabilisation and violence.
