The British Parliamentary Committee for Iran Freedom (BPCIF) is extremely concerned over the recent arrest and detention, under fraudulent national security charges, of teacher activists in Iran for their peaceful political activism to fight for their improved livelihood.

We welcome the extension of ceasefire around the city of Aleppo and urge the parties in Geneva to make every effort to extend this cessation of hostility and adopt robust measures to ensure that the ceasefire is respected.

The planned visit to Iran by Europe’s most senior official on foreign affairs and similar travel by other European state officials is highly inappropriate considering the regime's domestic repression and destructive policies abroad.
