MPs call for a democratic change in Iran and support for the NCRI and Mrs Maryam Rajavi

On Tuesday, March 28, 2017, cross-party members of both Houses of Parliament joined the Anglo-Iranian community, jurists and human rights activists in an evening reception in Jubilee Room at the House of Commons to celebrate the Persian New Year, Nowruz, that marks the start of spring.

We are deeply concerned over another spike in the number of executions in Iran, in particular an increase in the execution of juveniles. According to reports from Iran, the authorities carried out 87 executions in January alone.

In an early celebration of International Women’s Day, a cross party group of MPs highlighted the systematic discrimination and marginalisation of women in Iran at a conference in the House of Commons on Tuesday, February 28, 2017.

The whereabouts of Iranian political prisoner Ali Moezzi is still uncertain since he was taken to an unknown location by agents from the Iranian regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security following a family visit in prison last week.
